Festive Season Greetings

• Here we are again at the end of another year, how time flies! We want to wish all our patients a Merry Xmas and a Very Prosperous New Year.

Credit Crunch Help

• We did not increase our fees in 2008 and we do not intend to raise them in 2009 as we realise it is difficult times for all of us. If you should have a problem with a high dental bill, please talk to us as we can provide  12 months interest free payment. We may also in some situations stagger treatment to help payments.
• Ame has returned from maternity leave and is now the proud mother of another lovely little baby boy.  Due to our practice running on full steam again we can now accept new patients. 
• We also have a lucky draw until spring. Any patients treated at our practice by a dentist or the hygienist is eligible to take part in our lucky draw to win a free power bleaching worth £378.  
• We are going to divulge a secret that may save you from paying for expensive treatments. Brush twice daily for 2 minutes, floss once a day, and have your teeth and gums cleaned regularly by the hygienist and or dentist. You might put us out of business!

 Patient Comfort-Free Internet?

We found that patients are not using our coffee machine and we were wondering if we should replace it with a computer linked to the internet which you may use while waiting. Please let us know what you think.

 Denture problems?

We have a new partial denture available called a flexi denture that clicks in  between the teeth and fit quite tightly thus providing better mastication.

•  Our young patients are sometimes quite scared.  We do not blame them, we understand as we were all young once. We have found it helpful if scared children come in more than once and have small treatments done such as treating decay with high concentrate fluoride treatment before we try to do a filling. The use of laughing gas can be very helpful too.  Laughing gas is very light and helps to relax the patient. It has no negative side effects and the after effects only last for a few minutes after treatment.
• There is no extra fluoride added to our water supply but children get enough fluoride from the toothpaste to keep their teeth healthy. Another reason to brush thoroughly twice a day.

Reminders for Examination.

When you have your dental examination, your reminder card for the next check up is made out at the same time and is send off automatically after 6 months. If you therefore miss your 6 monthly check up or your card was lost in the post you will not receive a card again.  Please let us know us if you notice that more than 6 months has passed without a reminder from us

Something to be happy about!

Parking should ease as the new Tesco will be finished May 2009 with 1000 parking spaces available.
